BEAR Scotland, acting on behalf of Transport Scotland, is planning to carry out A four-week program of overnight maintenance on the A1 from Old Craighall to Thistly Cross Roundabout is scheduled to begin on Monday 19th May. The work will be carried out in 14 phases, with overnight closures on a different section of the A1 in each phase.

The works have been provisionally programmed to start on Monday 19th May 2025 for a duration of 20 nights between the hours of 20:00 and 05:30 each night.

To ensure the safety of the workforce and members of the travelling public it is necessary to close the road in each section on the dates and locations listed below during the works.

During this period of closure, a signed diversion route will be in place. Traffic will be diverted at each section on the dates and locations listed below

Access for emergency vehicles will be maintained at all times and all traffic management will be removed out with working hours (potentially remove).
