Please see the attached information letter regarding the planned essential maintenance works on the A1 northbound between Spott and Thistly Cross roundabout.

The programme of works is shown in the table below.

A1 Bowerhouse to Myreside NB	Wed 27th May – Fri 29th May & Mon 1st June (4 Nights)	19:30 – 06:00	The A1 northbound will be closed from Spott Roundabout to Thistly Cross Roundabout. Both roundabouts will remain open to traffic and will be unaffected. Northbound road users will be diverted between Broxburn Junction and Thistly Cross Roundabout via the A1087 and Summerfield Road through Dunbar, and the A199. This diversion will add 8 minutes and 1.5 miles to affected journeys. During this period, access to the A1 from Bowerhouse/ Broomhouse junction will be closed. A signed local diversion will be in place via the local road to/from Spott Roundabout. Access to/from Myreside junction will be controlled at the road closure points. It is encouraged that arrangements are made in advancefor access requirements during construction hours to/from Myreside junction to minimise wait times and disruption.

No works are planned for Saturday or Sunday night.

Access for emergency services and residents will be maintained at all times.
