I manage the East Lothian Royal Voluntary Service transport service.
Our volunteer drivers drive people age 65+ to health appts that they would otherwise struggle to get to. We receive funding from both the council and the NHS.
We are currently having a drive to recruit more volunteer drivers in East Linton, North Berwick, Dunbar.
Drivers' expenses are paid at 45p/mile.
