Subject: TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE - B1407 THE DEAN TO NEWBYTH - CARRIAGEWAY PATCHING
It is East Lothian Councils intention to undertake carriageway patching work on the B1407 from 30mph signs near The Dean to its Junction with Newbyth Road.
This work will commence on Monday 15th†April 2024 for 3 weeks, weather permitting. (TTRO attached)
No restrictions will be in place on Saturday 20th or Sunday 21st April 2024.
We will be looking to put in place a 12-day closure from Monday 22nd April through to 3rd May 2024. (TTRO to be agreed Mon 15th)
To comply with current Health & Safety legislation, it will be necessary to close the road to through vehicular traffic for the duration of the works.
Pedestrian and emergency access will always be maintained.
Refuse and recycling bins will be emptied as normal.
The 120 bus service will be diverted during the works. Please see plan below for the revised route and changes to bus stops. Service 120 will use this route the full duration of our works.
